When close enough, carefully hold the tube over the insect to gently suck it into the catch tube. While the motor is on, turn the BugBuster upright so the open end is pointing upwards preventing the insect from crawling out. Replace the cap at the end of the tube. Kochel The other reviewer gave it a great review, but perhaps I got a bad one, because it doesn't suck. I find I have to pretty much scoop the bugs up with it, unless they are something light with big wings (like a moth), in which case it will suck them up. I have seen ones that work well, but I don't know if the brand and/or make are different with those one. However, while some maybe great, the one I got wasn't, too bad. I hope that Dyson company makes on soon and they use the power at their disposal to make a super powerful one that can suck up a nest of killer bees, or a fly across the room, but until then I live in fear of both. Not a lot of quality control. To return it, I must pay postage, and insure it, after emailing for a special return number. So I bought another brand from another manufacturer.
