Hatfield My wife and I ordered 2 of these for our heavily mosquito infested property in South Carolina. We put in the batteries and commenced the war against the flying vampires. We decided to grill some chicken and eat on the patio, and before we were finished with our salad we had dozens of the little blood suckers flying all around us. We then went inside the house, leaving The Vortex insect traps running on the table, in the dark, for 2 hours. They caught exactly 1 mosquito. 1! We are returning them right now. 11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Doesn't do a thing By Kath Put the batteries in and put outside first evening. Didn't catch a single bug of any type. Next night turned it on again-nothing AND stopped running after about 2 hours. I can't afford batteries every day for something that doesn't work. Sent it back. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. stopped working By disgusted I purchased this item in the hopes of getting rid of no-seeums (mosquitos you can't see, but they bite and cause unbelievable itching). The insect trap worked for a while with the blue light coming on. Later the blue light went out and could not get it to come back on with the batteries, then I plugged it into an outlet and the blue light still didn't come back on. See all 4 customer reviews...
